The Client Counselling segment of Clineme is an intra-college competition organised by the ADR Cell of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Lucknow. It aims to simulate real-world legal consultations, offering students a platform to develop critical lawyering skills such as active listening, empathy, and clear communication.

This segment of Clineme focuses on practical legal practice where understanding client needs, identifying legal issues, and offering tailored advice are essential. The competition follows a two-tiered structure, beginning with an evaluation test open to assess legal aptitude and client advisory skills. The top 20 performing teams proceed to the Oral Rounds, where participants assume the role of legal counsellors in simulated client interviews. Each session involves a fictional client presenting a legal issue, requiring participants to be assessed on their ability to build rapport, uncover relevant facts, identify key legal issues, and provide solutions reflecting legal knowledge and understanding.
