About the adrcell
The ADR Cell at RMLNLU is a student-driven organization dedicated to Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) within the law school. This official student body focuses on developing skills, promoting knowledge, and creating opportunities in the field of dispute resolution. The cell aims to provide comprehensive ADR training to students, organize prestigious competitions, encourage research, and develop professional skills among law students. As a significant platform for ADR enthusiasts, it bridges the gap between theoretical learning and practical application in dispute resolution.
Recognized as an integral part of the Legal Aid Committee at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, the ADR Cell attracts talented students and prepares future legal professionals to effectively utilize ADR as a strategic approach to resolving conflicts. About the legal aid committee
OUR VISION
The Legal Aid Committee of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Lucknow, is a student-driven initiative guided by the motto “Seva Parmo Dharma.” It operates with a dual mandate of spreading legal awareness and providing free legal assistance to economically and socially disadvantaged communities, ensuring access to justice for those unable to navigate the judicial system. Additionally, it serves as an avenue for law students to gain essential hands-on training, blending academic knowledge with real-world application, thereby equipping them with practical skills for their legal careers.
OUR WORK
At the heart of the Committee’s efforts is a steadfast commitment to advancing justice, equity, and empowerment through diverse grassroots initiatives. Guided by the belief that an informed community is an empowered one, our outreach remains purposeful and people-centric.
Through LAC Shiksha, we engage with school children and slum communities to raise awareness on key social issues and fundamental rights. Continuing this commitment, Project Asha, in collaboration with the DLSA, addresses the legal challenges of undertrial prisoners through regular prison visits. Under the government-led Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA), the Committee has adopted five villages—Dhighiya, Pyarepur, Samda, Khurrampur, and Palenheda—to extend focused legal support and foster sustainable community empowerment.
Our Legal Aid Camps serve as crucial interventions, bridging the gap between legal institutions and underserved communities. Pre-camp surveys identify pressing legal needs, followed by coordinated efforts with government bodies to ensure timely assistance, while post-camp follow-ups offer sustained support. Additionally, we conduct Blood Donation Camps with NGO Blood Connect and host legal awareness sessions with the AALI Foundation on critical socio-legal issues.
These initiatives reflect our steadfast commitment to justice, service, and empowerment, anchored in the belief that real change begins with informed action.
